Uganda is a destination ripe with adventure-from gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest National Park; watching Golden Monkeys jump from branch to branch in the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park; to viewing stunning cascades at Sipi Falls or Murchinson Falls. There are many ways to experience a range of safaris in Uganda, from primate trekking; chimpanzee tracking; to birdwatching endemic species.
Volcanoes Safaris was the first company to set up simple camps in the areas around the gorilla parks in Uganda first at Mount Gahinga and at Bwindi and later at Kyambura Gorge. Through a sustained development and investment program, the properties have been gradually improved as the region has opened up. A major upgrading program throughout 2017 completed their transformation to luxury lodges.
